THIS TENDER IS NOW CLOSED.
The Australian War Memorial (the Memorial) is one of Australia's leading cultural institutions of international standing. It commemorates the sacrifice of those Australians who have died in war. One of the ways it does this is through the maintenance, development, interpretation and dissemination of a national collection of historical material.
The Events and Ceremonies team leads and manages the Memorial's multidisciplinary Events, within the Education and Visitor Services Section. The team coordinates dignified ceremonies including ANZAC and Remembrance Days, delivers innovative and exciting public programs and events which add to the visitor experience at the Memorial, and assists visitors to interpret and understand the Australian experience of war. The purpose of this Tender is to seek the provision of design, design verification, the supply on temporary hire, delivery to site, erection, independent certification, maintenance and removal of tiered seating/elevated grandstand seating to be available and suitable for outdoors. The Memorial requires the provision of 2 tiered seating / elevated grandstand seating structures for approximately 2,000 people (1000 people minimum per stand) with the following project scope: · The provision of design diagram · Design verification · The supply on hire · Delivery to site · Erection (in required timeframe) · Dressing of stands with camouflage net (as supplied by the Memorial) · Independent certification · Maintenance (if required) · Removal (in required timeframe) The seats must consist of individual moulded seats to ensure patron comfort throughout even the longest event. The seats must not be the "flip-up" type, due to the resultant noise factor. Installations need to ensure correct line of sight (as directed by the Project Officer at the site inspection) and must be provided with all required access - stairs, aisles and safety handrails. |
