Asset Integrity Management (AIM) is the process of ensuring an asset remains fit-for-purpose (FFP) during its design life and beyond. To achieve this, threats to the asset’s integrity must be identified and eliminated, or the likelihood of them occurring reduced to an acceptable level. Likelihoods may be combined with consequences in a risk based approach to integrity management, ensuring that resources are targeted while the risk threat to integrity is at its highest.
