BHP Billiton Approves Investment In Newcastle Third Export Coal Terminal
BHP Billiton today announced approval of the Newcastle Third Port Project (the Project), with a capital investment of US$390 million (BHP Billiton’s share as advised by Newcastle Coal Infrastructure Group Pty Ltd (NCIG)). Origin to develop wind farms in NSW
Origin Energy Limited (ORG) has acquired an option to develop up to 590MW of wind farm projects with wind generation developers Epuron. The deal will start with the construction of the 30MW Cullerin Range wind farm in NSW. The firm said the Cullerin Range would save about 100,000 tonnes of carbon annually or provide enough renewable electricity to power almost 15,000 typical homes in the state.

Kupe Oil and Gas Project
The Kupe gas/condensate field was discovered in 1986 and is currently New Zealand’s largest gas field under development. The Kupe development will comprise a normally unmanned offshore platform, a 30 km pipeline to shore, an onshore production station and up to 6 wellheads. The pipeline will transport the product stream to the onshore production station, where the raw gas will be processed and the condensate and LPG separated.
