Melbourne Exhibition Centre
Baulderstone Hornibrook completed construction of the largest exhibition hall in Australia in early 1996. The Melbourne Exhibition Centre comprises 30,000m˛ of single floor, pillarless exhibition space, an adjoining administration and conference area and a basement carpark for 1,200 vehicles.
The Melbourne Museum complex is located within the Carlton Gardens, immediately north of the historic 100 year old Royal Exhibition Building in Melbourne.
Telstra Dome (formerly Colonial Stadium), Docklands VIC
Featuring one of the world’s largest retractable roofs and vast grandstands with lower seating tiers able to be moved to provide optimum configurations for each event, Telstra Dome represents the latest in state-of-the-art sports stadium technology.
The high profile Brisbane Square office tower will accommodate Brisbane City Council and Suncorp offices. Four low-rise buildings house the council’s library, customer service centre and other office space, providing slashes of colour floating over the urban plaza.
Marngoneet Correctional Centre, Lara, VIC
The Marngoneet Correctional Centre is a 300 bed medium security correctional program centre for male prisoners, located near Lara, approximately 60km west of Melbourne
Combined Squadron Headquarters, RAAF Base Richmond NSW
Construction of a new combined squadron headquarters at RAAF Base Richmond for Defence. The design is based on the concept of sustainable development and will achieve a rating of five stars under the GREEN STAR Environmental Rating System for Buildings
Prince Charles Hospital Upgrade - Stage 1
Queensland Health is establishing a new Department of Emergency Medicine and the expansion of the number of beds by 120 to strengthen the Prince Charles Hospital’s secondary level services.

The City West Precinct, Canberra, ACT
Baulderstone Hornibrook, one of Australia’s largest integrated building, engineering and property service providers, and the Australian National University (ANU) are jointly developing a 51,000 sqm site in Canberra over the next 10 years, revitalising the area and linking Australia’s foremost research university to the heart of the national capital.
Arch Bridge Conversion, Northbridge
The first contract undertaken by M.R. Hornibrook in NSW was the conversion of the suspension bridge at Northbridge to a reinforced concrete arch bridge.
Ocean Outfall, Wollongong
The Wollongong Ocean Outfall, constructed by Baulderstone Hornibrook, disposes of effluent from the enlarged Wollongong Water Pollution Control Plant. The outfall comprises a 900 ID pipe discharging some 400m off Coniston Beach.
Water Treatment Plant, Orchard Hills
The Orchard Hills Water Treatment plant, constructed by Baulderstone Hornibrook, treats water from Warragamba Dam to provide western Sydney with drinking water which meets the current World Health Organisation Standards for water quality.
Pindari Dam, Inverell
Pindari Dam in the north of NSW provides irrigation water to the extensive agricultural areas of the region, much of which is used for cotton production. The dam is located on the Severn River approximately 58 km to the north of Inverell.
The Western Link is one of the largest single infrastructure contracts ever awarded in Australia. Forming a major section of the Melbourne City Link Project, it included all design and construction associated with linking the Tullamarine and Westgate Freeways.
Cross City Tunnel

Tank Street Bridge
On Monday 5 March 2007, Premier Peter Beattie announced the preferred tenderer for the Tank Street Bridge Project. Baulderstone Hornibrook has been chosen to design and construct the bridge with local architects Cox Rayner and engineering consultants Arup as part of design team.

Cross City Tunnel - Sydney
The concession to develop the project and own and operate it for a period of 30 years was awarded to the Cross City Motorway (CCM) consortium. Bilfinger Berger is a participant in CCM along with Deutsche Bank and Cheung Infrastructure Holdings (CKI). The design and construction of the project is being undertaken by Baulderstone Hornibrook in joint venture with parent company Bilfinger Berger.

The building was purpose designed to cater for international and national events as well as conferences, exhibitions and meetings.
North-South Bypass Tunnel
The RiverCity Motorway consortium achieved financial close on the North-South Bypass Tunnel on 7 August 2006. The NSBT is one of the largest infrastructure projects ever undertaken in Australia. Baulderstone Hornibrook, along with joint venture partners Bilfinger Berger and Leighton Contractors are expected to commence construction work this month.
